Terms & Conditions

  1. Contract.  All orders are accepted on the terms and conditions contained herein unless these terms are varied in writing by an authorised officer of Fire Supplies.
  2. Orders. The contract to supply is between Fire Supplies and the private individual or Company placing the order. Fire Supplies reserves the right to refuse to accept the Purchasers order. No order is valid until the Company issues a printed acknowledgement.
  3. Payment Terms. No goods will be sent out until credit/debit card details are accepted. (except for trade account customers, subject to credit checks). Please note we no longer accept cheques.
  4. Payments - We use Sage Pay to collect/process transaction information - you can view Sage Pays Security Policy at the following address: https://www.elavon.co.uk/privacy-policy.html
  5. Prices. All prices quoted are in pounds sterling and are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) and carriage & will be subject to change without notice.
  6. Price Changes. Prices quoted and displayed are subject to change without notice, though we will try, wherever possible, to give notice of any changes. These normally occur on an annual basis but can happen at any time if our costs change significantly. Fire Supplies reserve the right to cancel any transaction.
  7. Carriage Charges – UK Mainland - For all orders, a carriage will be charged at an agreed rate at the time of the order before VAT. This can range from £0 - £50. All carriage charges will be shown before the checkout procedure is complete.
  8. Delivery Address.  Deliveries can only be made to a full postal address, which has a complete Postal Code. If an order cannot be signed for at the time of delivery then a delivery card will be left stating that a delivery was attempted and another attempt will be made the following day.
  9. Deliveries To Site.  All deliveries to site (any address other than the customer’s normal address) will be handled on the same terms as described above.
  10. Failure To Deliver Or Failure To Deliver On Time. Fire Supplies can accept no responsibility whatsoever for circumstances arising from the failure of the carrier to deliver goods or to deliver by an agreed time. Where it can be proved that the carrier was at fault, the only compensation that can be paid will be the costs of the carriage. IF THE GOODS ARE NEEDED BY A SPECIFIC DATE OR TIME PLEASE ENSURE THAT THEY ARE ORDERED IN GOOD TIME AND THE AVAILABILITY IS CHECKED.
  11. Goods Out Of Stock. We aim to hold sufficient stock of all our product lines offered on this website to meet client demand for next day delivery. However, if we are out of stock of any item, this will normally be pointed out to you on receipt of your order and special arrangements made to meet your requirements (i.e. dispatch direct to you from the manufacturer or refund in full). We do advise checking stock with us before ordering. Fire Supplies reserve the right to cancel any transaction.
  12. Return Of Goods.  Goods supplied against a firm order may not be returned without the Purchaser applying for, and receiving, the consent of the Company. Goods will not normally be accepted for return after 30 days from the delivery date. Goods for return must be in a saleable condition including the product packaging they arrived in. No credit will be given until we receive the returned goods back at our warehouse (SEE RETURNS POLICY).
  13. Goods Not Covered by Returns Policy. There are certain items that are outside of our returns policy & as such these are clearly displayed on the item description. If you are unsure of what suitable product you require firstly seek advice of a professional company/installer before calling us (the list of exempt items include but are not limited to - Window Motors, Linear Actuators, Door Actuators, Roof vents, Smoke Dampers & Penthouse Louvres).
  14. Notification Of Damaged Goods.  All deliveries must be inspected for visible damage prior to acceptance. Any damage must be noted on the documentation held by the Carrier. All deliveries should be unpacked as soon as possible, and any concealed damage must be reported. Notify the Company immediately any damage is confirmed, and arrangements to rectify the problem will be made. This notification must be received WITHIN 48 HOURS OF RECEIPT OF GOODS and confirmed in writing or the claim may be repudiated by the carrier.
  15. Non- Delivery Or missing item., We must be notified of non-delivery WITHIN 48 HOURS OF YOUR RECEIVING NOTIFICATION OF DELIVERY and confirmed in writing, or the claim may be repudiated. No responsibility will be taken by Fire Supplies for any missing goods not reported to us within 48 hours.
  16. Title To The Goods.  All goods remain the property of Fire Supplies until paid for in full, governed exclusively by the Laws of England
  17. Warranty.  All goods supplied by the Company carry the manufacturer’s warranty, and it is the responsibility of the Buyer to register the warranty and ensure that it is not invalidated in any way.
  18. Installation. Fire Supplies is deemed as a supplier & not an installer and will therefore not supply any quotations for the installation, maintenance or the commission of the systems provided by Fire Supplies. The use of other materials and methods will invalidate the product warranty.
  19. If the customer or the customer's contractor requires assistance reference wiring methods, cable sizes or other regulatory issue they should in the first instance contact this office stating the invoice number, date of purchase and be very clear about what further help is required. Please see point 20 below for liability arising from this information either by telephone or contact form. 
  20. Liability.  The Company accepts no liability for matters arising from, or contributed to, by the installation of Fire Supplies products by the customer or the customer’s contractors.
  21. Fire Supplies Do not accept any responsibility for any advice of information given, if in any doubt contact a competent professional installer to view and assess the situation.
  22. Change In Product Specification. Fire Supplies works closely with its suppliers on continuing product enhancements and development. We reserve the right to modify the specification of products on sale without prior notification.
  23. Errors & Omissions. Any errors contained in the Company’s price list, website, acknowledgement, or invoice shall be rectified by the Company when discovered and notified to the Buyer. Buyer and Company shall have the option to settle any outstanding amounts or cancel the order.
  24. Patents & Copyright. Many of the products in this price list are protected by patents or design copyrights. All information may only be reproduced with the written permission of Fire Supplies.
  25. Replacement goods. Replacement Goods in advance will be charged for and credited on return of the defective product.
  26. BACS or International Transfer. BACS or International Transfer charges may be charged by your bank for the use of this service, these are non-refundable, and are paid by the customer for this service.
  27. Fire Supplies reserve the right to cancel a transaction and refund the payment if they feel a fraud has been committed.
